PREVIOUS PROJECTS

We have been involved a a wide variety of projects from business and institutional set up to company strategy and individual development.  

 

Comparative research on the development and use of occupational standards.  We were contracted by the UK Commission for Employment and Skills to undertake two significant pieces of research: an international comparative study on the purpose on use of occupational standards from across the world. and a survey of over 550 employers to see what they understood by national occupational standards and what use, if any, they made of them. This formed the basis of a new National Occupational Standards Strategy for the UK.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Skills Development Framework for the Children and Young People's Workforce. We were contracted b the Children's Workforce Development Council to research the generic competences required by specialists working with children and young people and developed an innovative skills development framework defining those required for integrated services.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Skills Master Plan for the Milton Keynes South Midlands Sub-region We were contracted by 3 local Learning and Skills Councils across three regions to derive a Skills Master Plan for the Milton Keynes South Midlands Sub-region growth area, reviewing the projections for housing and interpolating the implications of the learning and skills sector. The work included detailed analysis of the options for inward investment, involving over 150 interviews with stakeholders.

Feasibility study and options appraisal for a sports injury, therapy and rehabilitation center. We researched and developed (with architects) plans and developed funding proposals for a multiple use training and commercial center in a college - the first of its kind in the UK. It is now operating,  attracting national and international teams and athletes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Our team has spoken widely at international conferences for, for example, the British Council, Asian Development Bank, Global Forum for Education and Skills, in skills reform, coaching, women in the workplace, supporting marginalized youth, qualifications design and frameworks. We are always ready to provide motivational addresses to conferences, seminars and small groups 

Our team includes coaches qualified to Master degree equivalent, a Fellow of CIPD, qualified teachers and certified trainers and assessors.. 

 

Institutional Start-up in Saudi Arabia/. We led the bid and managed the start-up of three female vocational colleges in the north of Saudi Arabia for the government; part of an initiative to drive the employment of women and . improve vocational skills in the Kingdom.

We also provided start-up services and designed seven vocational courses for a charitable organization focusing on development of skills for women, which was based in Riyadh.

 

Coaching and mentoring strategies and implementation for a UAE government entity. We have also coached or mentored over 150 individuals from more than 20 nationalities in executive, business, life, career or well-being coaching, We usually find that clients require an integrated approach to coaching which we can deliver. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Resume writing for individuals from 12 nationalities.. We listen to your experiences, we draw out skills and competencies and develop tailored resumes and cover letters that reflect your professional requirements, personal interests and personality. 

We have also delivered redundancy, career re-visioning and interviews skills programs for those needing a change of employment, including with a major oil and gas company in the UAE. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

New Approaches for New Skills in Europe We undertook cross-European research into how young people with low skills levels could be engaged in the new skills of Europe and at the same time reduce social exclusion.

 

 

 

We developed the  concept and Terms of Engagement for a Quality Assurance Commission for the government of Turkey. 

 

Our other international assignments have included skills and vocational reform programs and individual coaching support in the  Philippines, India and Bahrain and student support services in the US. 

We have provided skills training for the following sectors:
